I told my students in the beginning of the year that I refused to see any of them as failures, no matter how many times they failed in the process. "Just don't fail in effort", was the command.
Now near the end of the year, I'm proud to say that there really aren't any failures in the classroom.
Every single student passes every single test for every subject, with most of them getting A's. And the average reading level of these 2nd grade students is at the end of 3rd grade/beginning of 4th grade, meaning the average student (who began at a beginning 2nd grade level) has grown almost 2 years.
See it! Believe it! Make it happen!
This is dedicated to MIT, L-DOUBLE G.....Munoz, Iiames, Trainor, Logan, Günter and Goulash, ………..Teachers who made a BIG difference in my youngest child's life….There are No Failures in this Classroom
